Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.12 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

Title:
DLink USB wireless adapters don't work on Xubuntu 13.10

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I installed Xubuntu 13.10 on Acer Travelmate 650 laptop.

Plugged DLink USB wireless adapter DWL - G132 v.A3.
System recognizes the adapter, shows available Wireless networks, lets me connect to mine.
  Connection established, some data transferred
Then connection hangs, nothing can be transferred between laptop and router.
When I unplug the adapter and plug it back in, connection restarts, some more data get transferred than it hangs.

Plugged DLink USB wireless adapter DWL - G122 v. C1.

The two adapters are based on different chipsets so they use different drivers.
I can see the drivers are present and they are correct.
Tried rebooting both the laptop and the router, no effect.
Both adapters worked with Xubuntu 13.04.

Sorry but I cannot provide any detailed information since I am typing
this from another computer, given that the said laptop cannot connect.
