Title:
LEnovo T410 overheats and shuts down Ubuntu 13.04
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
My lenovo has been overheating and shuing down for the last 2-3
months. I have cleaned the fan and put new thermal paste(the correct
amount was applied) but the problem continues. Whenever I use more
than 1 core to run my processes the computer shutdown within seconds.
I have the laptop's rear raised using a book(without blocking any
vents, the battery pack sits on the book) to allow for a better air
flow but this does not help. The last few days it started shutting
down even when in idle while browsing the internet. I believe there is
an issue with the fan control but I need help to verify this and solve
it.
