Re: [Bug 1244903] Re: upgrade from 12.04 to 13.04 or 13.10

Hello
Sorry I have not got down to doing this.
I have never done this before so I'll have a go at it as soon as I
can. See if I can work out how to do this.

It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. Title:
  upgrade from 12.04 to 13.04 or 13.10

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
After upgrading from 12.04 to 13.04 the system slowed down to snail pace. Press the mouse button on an icon and it would take up to 20 second to respond. System 32 bit with zeus 5500 graphics card and having two monitors. When a new app opened up or closes it does not do it smoothly but in jerks.
I replaced 13.04 with 13.10 and the same problem. Replaced with 12.04 and it work fine. On the same system I am also running mint 15xfec an that works fine.
Taking the graphics card out and using the on board video it goes somewhat faster but still not as when running 12.04.
