Title:
system hang few minutes after unpluggin AC
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Just few minutes after unplugging AC Adapter my laptop "hangs". Same behaviour exists when i just boot laptop without AC Power.
System hangs on all recent 3.2.x linux kernels from precise repository, but all is normal on 2.6.38-11-generic.
At first mouse is working and i can even move windows, while all window's content is unresponsible. I can even switch to another terminal with ctrl+alt+Fx and then:
1) if i not logged in there, terminal hangs after typing username and pressing enter
2) if i logged in there, i can execute some commands (i can not exactly say which, but i can run htop and ls)
After few minutes system hangs at all and only option is to reset
note.
It is interesting, that if system hangs after unplugging AC Adapter,
it "unhangs" after pluging adapter back.
I looked through all logs with appropriate modification date in
/var/log/* but found nothing interesting.
I just do not know what additional information i can provide, but i
will kindly provide any info on request.
