I'm afraid I can't test this any further, as I've switched to another
distribution some time ago.

But if it's any help, Fedora seems to be affected just as well :-)

Title:
  Blank screen after suspend/resume

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  After resuming from suspend, the screen stays blank.

  Apart from that, the system seems mostly functional:
   - Keyboard input appears to work.
   - SSH Login works.
   - The screen backlight is on.
   - Switching the screen off and on again via xrandr toggles the backlight.

  Restarting X or the display manager does not help.
