How long does it take from the action (lid close/menu click) to when
the laptop is actually suspended (i. e. it powers down and the suspend
indicator light switches on)?

No need to waste your time generating more logs. The symptoms sound
exactly like the others in this report, so I first need to get an idea
how to debug the AWOL D-BUS connection.
