[Bug 1250298] Re: 8086:0be1 blackscreen after boot after splash sceen
psil0cybin, as per http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers an update
is available for your BIOS (1.10). If you update to this following
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate , does it change anything?
If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so
posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful.
For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette
.
Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
8086:0be1 [Acer AOD270] Blackscreen after boot after splash sceen
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Current Operating System: Linux 3.2.0-56-generic-pae #86-Ubuntu SMP
Wed Oct 23 17:51:27 UTC 2013 i686
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Atom Processor
D2xxx/N2xxx Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09)
I get a blackscreen 50 percent of the time i boot into the new kernel,
if i restart enough times I will eventually get in..I usually resort
to using the previous kernel instead of rebooting 35 times to get into
Ubuntu!
Only with the new kernel does this issue happen, every other kernel is
fine..someone said intel is not supporting the new kernels...this is
bad news for me...very bad.
