[Bug 1234413] Re: Display driver is malfunctioning for Ubuntu 13.10 VMs on Hyper-V Server 2008R2
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1199345 ***

I would like to apply this patch but I don't see any instructions how to
do that. Can anyone show me? I am fairly new to the Linux world. I have
the Ubuntu 13.10 installation in an ISO file and when I start it up in
my Windows 2008 Hyper V, I get the problem described here and I cannot
install Ubuntu. Do I have to inject this code somewhere in the ISO?
which folder? and what name/extension should I save this patch code as?

Display driver is malfunctioning for Ubuntu 13.10 VMs on Hyper-V
Server 2008R2
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
In Progress
Bug description:
Hi folks,
We noticed that when a Ubuntu 13.10 VM is created on Windows Server
2008 R2, the graphical output is corrupted. The situation is so grave
that one cannot even install Ubuntu 13.10 on Windows Server 2008R2.
The patch below fixes the problem so please include it:
https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/2974481/
I have also attached the patch. Please let us know if you need more
information.
Thanks,
Abhishek
