[Bug 1243693] Re: RT3290 12.04 new kernel

I have the same problem. A kernel update in October screwed up the wireless card.
When I boot the laptop ( HP 655 Ubuntu certified) I can choose which kernel I want to use.
I choose for 3.2.0-32. It was installed when i bought the notebook.

3.2.0-55 and 3.2.0-56 kernels both screw the wireless driver or card up.

https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-certification/+question/238136 In
this tread there is some additional information from myself and someone
else.

Personally I am not going to try the newest kernel. I wnat my card to
work with the kernel that is installed by the update-manager. I bought
this notebook especially because it has ubuntu certification but it is
not working properly. A shame if you ask me.
