[Bug 1243831] Re: Cannot enable WLAN after wake up from hibernation mode

Jens Herrmann, as per http://download.lenovo.com/express/ddfm.html an update is available for your BIOS (3.15). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate , does it change anything? If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so
posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful.

For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette
.

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
  Cannot enable WLAN after wake up from hibernation mode

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Since the upgrade to 13.10 two days ago my laptop goes into
  hibernation mode when I close the lid. When I open it again it takes a
  couple of seconds, then I login and find that I do not have a network
  connection anymore. Also I am not able to re-enable the network
  connection via the network-plugin in my panel. To do so I have to
  restart the entire system.
