[Bug 1181144] Re: [Dell XPS 13 (L322X)] Sometime system will stuck on waking up from Hibernate


Po-Hsu Lin, as per http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/Product/xps-13-l321x-mlk an update is available for your BIOS (A10). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate , does it change anything? If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so
posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful.

Bug description:
  CID: 201209-11840 Dell XPS 13 (L322X)

  Sometimes hibernate will work on this system, sometimes not.

  1. Boot
  2. Open terminal and execure: sudo pm-hibernate
  3. Wake the system by pressing the power button after it successfully hibernated.

  Expected Result:
  System will back to normal.

  Actual Result:
  System stuck on a purple screen when waking up, you have to use the power button to shut it down.
  Boot it up, and run hibernate again, this time hibernate will work. 
  (Doing reboot here can create an environment to reproduce this issue)
