[Bug 1256791] Re: System freeze after successful resume from suspend
Did this issue occur in a previous version of Ubuntu, or is this a new
issue?
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.12 kernel[0].
If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.
If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.
If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".
Thanks in advance.

Title:
System freeze after successful resume from suspend
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
System only freezes after it has been suspended and a sucessful resume has been performed.
System will freeze (clock, no mouse pointer), no respond to keyboard, no flashing lights on kb, on last crash at 13:54 hrs today screen appeared "stuck" between workspaces this is not always the case
Crash is not always reproducible as several suspend-resume cycles can be performed successfully and then freeze will occur "out of the blue"
Last crash was at 13.54 hrs for ease of locating info from logs.
SystemProblem has persisted through last 4 or 5 (or more?) releases, persisted with it and only now have enough confidence to report bug.
System once was stable with ubuntu, I cannot remember which release and no hardware changes have been made, however looking at bugs related to me, I added a "me too" to bug no;759213 which was at ubuntu 11.04.
System has also passed a memory test.
