Title:
[MacBookPro5,1] Sometimes key presses get "stuck" leading to repeated
characters
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Status in “xorg-server” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Since updating to raring from quantal, two of my machines (a
MacBookPro 5,1 and a MacBookAir 4,1) have exhibited this behavior. It
seems to be more of a problem the faster I type, but that just
increases the frequency of keypresses. Ocassionally while typing a key
that I have pressed seems to stay "stuck down" and further input while
that is going on is missed. The character repeats maybe 10 times, and
then everything is back to normal.
I don't have a way to reproduce this reliably, sometimes there are
many hours between seeing it.
One data point I do have is that it even happens when using synergy to
control the raring box from a quantal machine, which is why I am
reporting this against xorg and not the kernel where it might be
construed as a USB or keyboard issue.
