[Bug 1088829] Re: 8086:1e31 USB devices not detected in USB 3.0 ports

 

Using Ubuntu 12.04 on amd64 Asus K53S laptop.
Seen this problem today for the first time after standard kernel update to version 3.2.0-57-generic on only one out of three USB ports on first reboot after upgrade.
Plugging any device into that port causes the messages in log described above.

I suspect this will affect everybody with 12.04 LTS and USB 3.0 host
controllers in a standard configuration starting from today.

  Plugging in a USB device say a memory stick. Gives the following
  message in dmesg.
