I can confirm that in my case it is no longer a problem, I found the
real culprit: an imperfect hardware contact.

  I have installed Oneric recently and it's the second time I get this
  bug. I cannot see any action that could cause it, but just after
  restart the touchpad (padding + buttons) does not work at all. I am
  using only the keyboard to submit this bug report.
