Message #35347
[Bug 1102999] Re: wifi stops working intermittently
Cory Coager, it wouldn't be considered a duplicate at this time as the
requested apport-collect in Trusty hasn't occurred. Hence, could you
please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO
images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/
.
If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:
apport-collect -p linux <replace-with-bug-number>
Please feel free to mark Confirmed when this has been completed.

Title:
wifi stops working intermittently
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
My wifi stops working intermittently but it seems to happen as often
as every day. When it happens, I notice some spam in dmesg. I notice
that I am still connected to the wireless access point but no data
seems to pass through. I cannot ping or resolve DNS. I make sure
power management is off on the wifi device.
This is for Ubuntu 12.04, 3.2.0-36-generic kernel, all packages up-to-
date as of 1/22/2013. This hardware is a Dell XPS L702X with an Intel
Corporation Centrino Advanced-N 6230 wifi device.
