Message #35852
[Bug 454269] Re: Please enable IPv6 multicast routing
Micha Lenk, this would appear addressed in Trusty:
git clone git://kernel.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ubuntu-trusty.git && cd ubuntu-trusty && grep -r CONFIG_IPV6_MROUTE=y | grep debian && grep -r CONFIG_IP_MROUTE=y | grep debian
debian.master/config/config.common.ubuntu:CONFIG_IPV6_MROUTE=y
debian.master/config/config.common.ubuntu:CONFIG_IP_MROUTE=y
Please reopen if this doesn't work out for you.

Title:
Please enable IPv6 multicast routing
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Current Ubuntu kernels ship without support for IPv6 multicast routing
enabled. Routing for IPv4 multicast is enabled, so I don't see the
point why it is disabled for IPv6. To fix this bug the kernel config
should contain the following two lines (the first one for IPv4
mutlicast routing, the second one for IPv6 multicast routing):
CONFIG_IP_MROUTE=y
CONFIG_IPV6_MROUTE=y
But however, CONFIG_IPV6_MROUTE is unset on all kernels shipped by Ubuntu Karmic (checked with most binary packages provided by source linux 2.6.31-14.48).
