Bug description:
  This is a tracking bug for an upstream patch
  http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/airlied/drm-2.6.git;a=commit;h=944001201ca0196bcdb088129e5866a9f379d08c
  and preceeding commit 45503ded966c98e604c9667c0b458d40666b9ef3 .

  This is a patch to prevent a class of GPU hangs on 945GM cards.  It's
  CC'd to stable@, and should end up in 2.6.35 at some point.  If it
  doesn't, we should pick it up, and it might be worth a Lucid SRU.

  It seems there's a reasonable chance that this would fix bug #400934, bug #451518, bug #475429, bug #500686,
  bug #501875, bug #342675, bug #493111 and bug #450853.
