[Bug 496256] Re: 0421:0610 Nokia CS-15 USB modem does not work in Karmic - Raring depending on modem make
** Summary changed:
- 0421:0610 Nokia CS-15 USB modem does not work in Karmic - Raring depending on modem firmware
+ 0421:0610 Nokia CS-15 USB modem does not work in Karmic - Raring depending on modem make
** Description changed:
Binary package hint: network-manager
+
+ lsusb -vv reveals that there are different kinds of CS-15 out there. One
+ type does not react at all when plugged (see comment #60).
Installation done in Jaunty does not work anymore in Karmic. Also
installation (like in Jaunty) from a .deb file shipped within the USB
modem itself can not be done, because partition in the USB modem is not
mounted automatically and cannot be mounted via Nautilus. This leaves
user without internet connection.
