All bluetooth connections seem to stall after certain period of time
(seen from dmesg) - this alone makes file transfers, etc impossible,
although there might be other problems too.

Recv failed: Software caused connection abort

  dmesg:
  [ 5787.352443] Bluetooth: hci0 link tx timeout
  [ 5787.352453] Bluetooth: hci0 killing stalled connection D4:88:90:C2:8B:33

The connection will always stall after 10 rounds. The pinged device is
Samsung Galaxy S phone. When the same is being pinged from another
computer, also running Ubuntu, the connection stays stable until
  aborted.

Noticed exactly similar behavior reported here:
  https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=120488 - only common things
are bluez and Broadcom bluetooth chip.
