Wildman, thank you for your comments. Could you please answer the following questions:
1) Regarding your comment https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1099057/comments/36 :

Could you please give the specific actions regarding "I probe it"? For
example, did you execute a command at a terminal?
2) If you don't "probe it" in Lucid, does it still work after
reinserting the card?
