Re: [Bug 704184] Re: Afatech 9013 DVB-T chips need a patch to work
I am running Mythbuntu 12.04 with the v3.11 kernel which has all the
patches so you can close this case I think.

Title:
Afatech 9013 DVB-T chips need a patch to work
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: linux-image-generic
Description: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS
Release: 10.04
linux-image-generic:
Installed: 2.6.32.27.29
Candidate: 2.6.32.28.31
Version table:
2.6.32.28.31 0
*** 2.6.32.27.29 0
2.6.32.21.22 0
I and many others will be using Mythbuntu 10.04 for some time to come. Unfortunately there is a bug in the Afatech 9013 tuner chip that needs constant patching every time the kernel is updated. Without the patch the DVB-T chip doesn't tune to a channel at all. It is a small patch and it would be much appreciated if the patch could be applied permanently to the 10.04 LTS kernel (or a more recent version of v4l with the patch applied folded into the kernel updates).
The patch can be found here:
http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Leadtek_WinFast_DTV2000DS under the
Making it Work in Ubuntu heading.
