missing logfiles.
Twinview was given up in favour of RandR. This means ful
systemcompatibilty. Nvidia-settings should be used any furthers only in
rare cases.
System provided GUI-tools should be able to help on Dual-screen

Status in “nvidia-settings” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
This bug still affects me.
When I try to activate my secondary display the nvidia-settings software will freeze when i choose the option "TwinView".
After killing the program I cant start it in this session again, so I have to logout und relogin then.
My system:

Videocard: NVIDIA Quadro NVS 4200M
Architecture: amd64
The issues I'm experiencing are exactly the same as in bug #873375
The proposed fixes are not working. Neither in 11.10 nor in 12.04 (inculuding all current updates)
