[Bug 1264707] Re: IO limit 1.2 MB/s for 32bit ubuntu
Ilya Murav'jov, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. As per your https://launchpadlibrarian.net/160830243/BootDmesg.txt :
[ 0.000000] ACPI BIOS Warning (bug): Optional FADT field Pm2ControlBlock has zero address or length: 0x0000000000000000/0x1 (20130517/tbfadt-603)
Hence, as per http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A99FX_PRO_R20/#support an update is available for your BIOS (2201). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate , does it change anything? If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and just provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so
posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful.
For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette
.
Thank you for your understanding.

This issue is reproducing with my new SSD (with ext4), my USB drives and
my hard disk (with ext4) from Ubuntu i386, 13.04 and 13.10. Such a speed
