Title:
Intel GMA 4500 Kernel problem
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
As in Ubuntu 11.04, when trying to install or run live session in
ubuntu 11.10 in my laptop (acer aspire 5736z) with intel gma 4500m
graphic card, it's impossible to see anything on the screen because
the bright turns off and it isn't possible to turn it on with FN keys.
If adding acpi_osi=Linux on boot sequence, it works (not completely
fine, but it works), but you have to turn bright on every time you
turn your computer on. I think it could be fixed, because this graphic
card is built in lots of computers and we're not able to use ubuntu
due to that problem with latest kernel version.
