[Bug 995456] Re: Duplicate ACPI video bus devices for the same VGA controller
Thanks for you help, I update my BIOS to A29:
command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
output:
A29
06/04/2013
File dmesg contains the same text:
[Firmware Bug]: ACPI: BIOS _OSI(Linux) query ignored
...
[Firmware Bug]: Duplicate ACPI video bus devices for the same VGA controller, please try module parameter "video.allow_duplicates=1"if the current driver doesn't work.
I also boot again with version 13.04 I burn yesterday on USB and there is the same result.
But I don't have problem: video works ok and webcam too. When I start using Ubuntu, with 11.10 version, I supposed this message was important to be known and resolved, but I never had problem.
So, maybe this is not a real bug and you can close it.
In that case, sorry I waste your time and thanks for your patience.
I attach dmesg of Ubuntu 13.04
