Toufik, thank you for your comments. In order to test the latest
firmware available in Ubuntu, could you please confirm this issue exists
with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available
from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ . If the issue
remains, please just make a comment to this.

  8086:08b1 iwlwifi crash with "Microcode SW error detected"

Bug description:
  I have an intel 7260 wifi card (it is a dual band). I have had a **lot** of trouble connecting to my router (also dual band). I don't know how I did but I managed to connect to the 2.4GHz AP but it is not very stable. However, I've never managed to connect to the 5.5GHz AP while it is listed as available. By looking at dmesg, the driver is crashing:
