Message #38297
[Bug 723432] Re: We need a way to translate the nvidia-settings tool
looked into copyright (via http://packages.qa.debian.org/n/nvidia-
settings.html):
Says it's GPL-2, therefore removed tag eq "proprietary"
http://ftp-master.metadata.debian.org/changelogs/contrib/n/nvidia-
settings/unstable_copyright.
Really wonder how the situation is on the other BIG5 of the Linux
distros: Open Suse, Fedora, +++ ?
Probably it would just need a little questionare on Nvidai's Linux-
Forum:
https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/board/98/
Who knows, may be they could easily be merged from the W$-version side?
Speaking in Open Source Terms, this way the benefit would "hit" a wider
audience... =:;D

Title:
We need a way to translate the nvidia-settings tool
Status in “nvidia-settings” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Binary package hint: nvidia-settings
Currently there is no way to localize the nvidia-settings tool (except
for translating in source), this makes it hard for end userse to
configure there monitor settings.
