[Bug 1073804] Re: pm-suspend powers off the computer

 

Ken Sharp, thank you for testing the latest mainline kernel. Could you
please confirm this issue exists with the latest development release of
Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-
live/current/ . If the issue remains, could you please run the following
command in the development release from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p linux REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

  pm-suspend powers off the computer

Bug description:
  Running "pm-suspend" on my Precise i386 machine powers it off, which
  it obviously shouldn't do.  It's not clear if a shutdown is completed,
  or whether the power is simply cut.
