[Bug 1155972] Re: [Acer AOD270] Suspend-Resume gives me colored but useless screen

This bug has been fixed meanwhile and I completely forgot reporting
about it. I now can’t tell you which kernel version fixed the issue.
Sorry.

Title:
[Acer AOD270] Suspend-Resume gives me colored but useless screen

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
I used to use suspend (to RAM) a lot on my netbook but since upgrading to 12.10 it's broken. Suspending seems to work fine, but when I try to resume the machine, I get a colored screen and a big square instead of my mouse pointer. I can move this square around the whole screen, but apart from that, I can't do anything graphically. No login prompt appears as it used to. I finally managed to report this bug since it annoys me so much.
The only thing I can do, is switching to tty1 and login in on the command line. While I can reboot the system from there, it doesn't help me much since suspending the computer is still useless. It even takes longer than a normal rebbot.
How can I help you to track down the problem?
