[Bug 1266186] Re: Touchpad not detected anymore in 'HP ChromeBook 14-q030ef' after the kernel upgrade

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.13 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

Title:
Touchpad not detected anymore in 'HP ChromeBook 14-q030ef' after the
  kernel upgrade

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
My laptop touchpad stopped working after a kernel upgrade 2 days ago,
it worked correctly before that. I didn't find any shortcut to
  enable/disable it, and since it's a chromebook, it doesn't have a
BIOS. Also, the touchpad works when I boot on ChromeOS. My mouse still
works. I use Ubuntu 13.10 with kernel 3.11.0-15-generic.
