[Bug 893793] Re: Kernel crash (General Protection Fault) under load or randomly

Hi.

I now have a completely different system.

Afaik, when I've upgraded to 12.04 the problem went away. So I would
suggest closing it as fixed or invalid?, since I cannot reproduce the
problem anymore.

Title:
Kernel crash (General Protection Fault) under load or randomly

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Hi.

By using the computer, the computer freezes. SSH doesn't work.
Sometimes I get a trace printed on the monitor (will upload some
  pictures).

When I "apply" pressure which involves a lot of HDD activity, the
  crash happens earlier.

I have AMD Phenom 2 CPU. Using Radeon HD 4850 with latest open source
  drivers.

Crashes began on 20. 11. 2011 and I regularely update the system.

I've tested memtest for one pass, and it hadn't reported any errors.

  Pictures aren't the best quality.

  Distribution info:
  mastermind@francl:~$ lsb_release -rd
