Message #39525
[Bug 1267345] Re: Laptop doesn't go to sleep when lid is closed
apport information
** Tags added: apport-collected package-from-proposed saucy
** Description changed:
When I upgraded to linux-firmware 1.116.1 from proposed
The sleep with lid close, the screen only goes black, and computer stays on with fans on etc.. so something gets stuck. Going into Power settings doesn't do any difference.
But when I revert back to older linux-firmware 1.116 lid trigger and
sleep works correctly.
I'm on an Samsung Ativ 9 Plus with Intel Wireless 7260
Checking the changelog for this package, there's a firmware for 7260. so it's somehow blocking sleeps.
- Let me know if you need logs etc... I didn't manually find much relevant
- at all at a first look.
