[Bug 1266186] Re: Touchpad not detected anymore in 'HP ChromeBook 14-q030ef' after the kernel upgrade

Levasseur Carl, the next step is to fully commit bisect between the
latest working and non-working kernel in order to identify the offending
commit. Could you please do this following
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/KernelBisection ?

** Tags removed: kernel-bug-exists-upstream
** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream-v3.13-rc7 needs-bisect needs-upstream-testing

** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
       Status: Confirmed => Incomplete

** Summary changed:

- Touchpad not detected anymore in 'HP ChromeBook 14-q030ef' after the kernel upgrade
+ [HP ChromeBook 14-q030ef] Touchpad not detected after the kernel upgrade

** Description changed:

My laptop touchpad stopped working after a kernel upgrade 2 days ago, it
worked correctly before that. I didn't find any shortcut to
- enable/disable it, and since it's a chromebook, it doesn't have a BIOS.
- Also, the touchpad works when I boot on ChromeOS. My mouse still works.
- I use Ubuntu 13.10 with kernel 3.11.0-15-generic.
+ enable/disable it, and since it's a chromebook, it has a coreboot BIOS
+ -> www.coreboot.org . Also, the touchpad works when I boot on ChromeOS.
+ My mouse still works. I use Ubuntu 13.10 with kernel 3.11.0-15-generic.
