[Bug 1266024] Re: Kernel 3.11 does not boot
Aureliano, the next step is to fully commit bisect from Raring to Saucy
in order to identify the offending commit. Could you please do this
following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/KernelBisection ?
** Description changed:
- Hello,
+ Upgrading to saucy, the kernel 3.11 does not boot. I kept using the
+ kernel 3.8 and it works fine. The problem does not change with any of
+ noapic, nolapic, noirqpoll.
- Upgrading to saucy, the kernel 3.11 does not boot. I kept using the kernel 3.8 and it works fine.
- I have a Fujitsu M2010.
- The problem is acpi related since it boots with acpi=off, but does not with any of noapic, nolapic, noirqpoll.
- But with acpi=off, resolution is wrong etc then.
+ WORKAROUND: acpi=off
- I also tried other distributions and all hang when the kernel is 3.11
-
- Symptoms are equals to the ones reported in bug 1237336.
-
- Attached the files
