Title:
  Precise Pangolin Fails to Suspend

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
After a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin 64-bit, my
laptop fails to suspend. When I hit the suspend key, the screen goes
blank and the CPU fan ramps up to maximum. But the laptop does not
ever suspend, it just sits there with the fan whirring.

This seems to be a regression- I had experienced this issue in 11.04,
it was fixed in 11.10, but is back again in 12.04.
