thanks a lot for the query. But that laptop is not with me anymore since i
gave it to a relation of mine. Thanks again for the concern and wish Ubuntu
will become the best OS out there.

  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I have been using Ubuntu 10.10,11.04,11.10 and 12.04 beta on my Acer aspire 4736Z lap top(Intel pentium dual core processor T4200,Intel GMA 4500M graphics) with all the above distros i was unable to adjust screen brightness.now adjusting after changing the default GRUB.but it is very annoying and plays havoc with the LCD backlight.
  please try to resolve this problem.
