you can consider is closed.
in daily 14.04 ubuntu-desktop it works ok.
it needs:
 echo low > /sys/class/drm/card0/device/power_profile
echo powersave > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor
echo powersave > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu1/cpufreq/scaling_governor

otherwise the fan is always at full on.
unfortunately the kernel hangs a lot with 14.04, I will need to wait for
the official release.

  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: acpid

  package 1.0.6-9ubuntu4.9.04.3 breaks the suspend(fan runs continously), in version 1.0.6-9ubuntu4 it still works.
  I don't know what additional info i should add.
