You may need to run the following:

sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update

Then re-install the package.

  this comes up every time i start ubuntu.  have no idea what is
  happening, just that it is very consistent.  have tried to stop
  certain packages from loading to see if they are the problem, but no
  change.
