Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
My Huawei E173 UMTS-Stick is only detected as a mass storage device so I can't connect to the internet with Ubuntu 13.10.
It works great with Ubuntu 13.04
lsusb:
Bus 002 Device 006: ID 12d1:1446 Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. E1552/E1800/E173 (HSPA modem)

help.
Also this USB device is already included in /lib/udev/rules.d/40-usb_modeswitch.rules
