[Bug 1275973] Re: Dell XPS 13 (haswell) touchscreen worked briefly on saucy, kernel update broke it
You should be able to determine if this does work in one of those older
kernel by booting the system into one of them via the grub menu. That
would be a good test to confirm it is not "just working sometimes
randomly".

Title:
Dell XPS 13 (haswell) touchscreen worked briefly on saucy, kernel
update broke it
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
The touchscreen (ID 06cb:0af8 Synaptics, Inc. ) on the Dell XPS 13
didn't used to work in saucy. One day someone touched my screen and
the cursor moved, some magical kernel update must have fixed it. A
couple kernel updates later it is broken again. It's quite possible
that the kernel updates had nothing to do with it, all I know is that
it used to work 2 weeks ago and now it is not responding to input ...
Ubuntu 3.11.0-15.25-generic 3.11.10
