[Bug 1260825] Re: 168c:0032 ath3k built-in bluetooth cannot load firmware - sporadic

I had the same problem with same model laptop, and I wanted to upload more data so that developers pinpoint the problem. I ran:
apport-collect -p linux 1260825

and it attached so many files. I hope there's no sensitive information :(
Sorry if they are too many files.

Looks like fuujuhi did the upstream kernel testing, but latest
development release testing still remains. I would like to contribute by
doing latest development release testing. If I boot with development
version via live-USB, would that suffice? Do I need to install the
development version?

Thanks..

  Incomplete

Bug description:
This is on an ASUS N550JV. Basically, the Bluetooth is sporadically
available after restart/login. When not available, we get an error msg
in dmesg about a patch that failed to load.

Things already tried (to no much avail):
  - Update BIOS to latest version
  - Install "bluetooth" package
  - Enable ath9k bt coexistence (as per http://5thpeephole.blogspot.be/2013/10/install-ubuntu-1310-in-asus-n550jv.html)
  - unload / reload ath3k module:
  $ sudo modprobe -r ath3k; sleep 1; sudo modprobe ath3k
