This seems to have been fixed upstream - when can we get the backport of
the fixes for 12.04?

Bug description:
This bug only happens in live session running the installer.This machine is running raring everyday without problems.
Running only the installer without the live session, the bug not appear, so it is probably reproducible in a loaded system with a slow support (usb key)
