Title:
"switch from..." option results in lost x sessions
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
I'm running Lucid 64bit, installing updates every day. I have two
users on my machine, and I switch between them using the indicator
applet. Sometimes, the switch works without issue. Sometimes, the
switched-to session does not appear, and the screen is black until I
find the first session by trying control-shift-f7, control-shift-f8,
etc. Other times, I switch, the second session does not appear, and I
can't find the first session, either, and I have to restart gdm from
control-shift-f1. Still other times, I can't reach any virtual
terminal -- all are black -- and I have to break out of the situation
by ssh'ing in from another machine on my network.
I realize that this bug may well not be with the indicator applet, but
the applet is where I'm triggering it.
