[Bug 1280653] Re: Xorg freeze
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.13 kernel[0].
If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.
If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.
If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".
Thanks in advance.

Title:
Xorg freeze
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
System freezes or kernel panic occurs. Happens since I put a new SSD in my Acer 1810TZ Laptop.
SSD: http://www.samsung.com/de/consumer/memory-storage/ssd/under-500-gb/MZ-7TE250BW
Problem seems to be somewhere between Kernel, SSD, BIOS, SATA support.
Already have the latest BIOS for my Laptop. System got more stable
since I installed new Kernel (3.11 instead of 3.8) and use btrfs-
Filesystem now. But still several freezes per day, especcially while
browsing complicated (java?)-websites.
