Title:
  Ubuntu 13.10 sound HDMI problem

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Hello,

On my Mac mini with LG monitor (in Ubuntu Gnome 13.10, dual-boot with
OSX), connected via HDMi cable, I notice that at boottime, after
login, the sound output option is switched / altered to ' HDMi /
Displayport 3 - Built in audio' while having selected the option
'Headphones - Built in Audio' (for my external speakerset) during last
  session myself!

Is this something which is 'known'?
I've looked in the answers; loads of stuff about HDMi and sound output but could not find any similar problem really....

Switching it back to the right 'output' gives me sound again!

  Please advise!

  Kind regards,

  Ed
