Re: [Bug 1285934] Re: track pad often freezes or gets jerky - it works intermittently
I wouldn't know how to reproduce the problem, John, so I would say, "no".
Joseph, I may have time to try that kernal tonight late, or else tomorrow.
This is probably unrelated, but I 'broke' unity for about a week by
apparently installing the wrong video drivers. I just got it working again
yesterday. Then within a short time, the mouse stopped working again. Also,
although the clock was there then, it is gone again today. Just a tidbit of
info.
Be *Excellent to each other!*

Title:
track pad often freezes or gets jerky - it works intermittently
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Randomly, the trackpad will stop movingthe pointer around the screen
reliably. It may freeze for a second, or several. Or it may repeatedly
freeze and release a few times a second, making it jerk across the
screen. Scrolling is affected the same way. I found a workaround that
involves turning psmouse off and on again. That seems to work.
Sometimes just for a few minutes, other times for a few days.
Second problem: The system clock disappeared from the 'taskbar' at the
top. The clock settings in the system settings menu was grayed out. I
found a procedure to turn that on and off again too. So far so good.
The first problem might have happened a little bit under 13.04 as
well, I'm not certain if the first time was before or after the
upgrade to 13.10
Sorry I'm a noob. I'm not even sure if this is the right way to make a
