[Bug 1294404] Re: 70% increase from 12.04 to 14.04 of /usr/share/alsa/ucm [ARM Files in X86]
Its not affecting the functionality of your system is it? To only
package the ucm files for arm would make the packaging somewhat more
complex, and diverge us even more from Debian.
If you are space constrained, deleting these files should not be a
problem.

Title:
70% increase from 12.04 to 14.04 of /usr/share/alsa/ucm [ARM Files in
X86]
Status in “alsa-lib” package in Ubuntu:
Opinion
Bug description:
70% increase from 12.04 to 14.04 of /usr/share/alsa/ucm [ARM Files in
X86] aka libasound2
120K via du -h in 12.04
204k in 14.04
Seems unreasonable for a bunch of files that don't even belong on x86.
