[Bug 1295206] Re: [Thinkpad X230] bluetoothd 'Can't find device agent', will not pair with phone

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.14 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

Title:
[Thinkpad X230] bluetoothd 'Can't find device agent', will not pair
  with phone

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Providing additional information in response to bug 1244764, "[ASUS
U31SD] ubuntu 13.10 bluetooth not working correctly".

Attempting to re-estabilish a bluetooth connection between my phone
(Nexus S) and my Thinkpad X230 laptop. The devices have been
successfully paired in the past. The connection is briefly
  established, then drops.

Verified that the bluetooth radio is on. gnome-bluetooth-applet shows
one paired device (Nexus S): Bluethooth is 'ON', Device visibility is
  'ON', Connection is 'OFF'.

  Steps to reproduce the failure:

  1. Resume laptop
  2. syslog says that bluetoothd has failed to start: bluetooth-indicator is missing. Workaround by restarting the bluetooth service with 'sudo service bluetooth restart'. bluetooth-indicator re-appears.
  3. Open Bluetooth Settings on laptop, select 'Nexus S' in Devices list
  4. On Nexus S device, go to Settings -> Bluetooth -> Paired Devices, select 'ubuntu-0'.
  5. Connection in laptop Bluetooth Settings panel briefly goes 'ON'
  6. The following lines appear in syslog (bluetoothd debug logging is enabled) :
