Ray-Ven, the scope of this report is limited to only the ASIX Ax88179 device noted in the Bug Description, not any other. If you are having an issue with a device, you are welcome to file a new report via a terminal:

Bug description:
  Asix's AX88179 is an USB3.0 based 10/100/1000M gigabit ethernet
  controller. They provide a Linux driver at their web site
  (http://www.asix.com.tw/products.php?op=pItemdetail&PItemID=131;71;112)
  and it works nicely for me. It would be awesome if Ubuntu would
  include this driver into its kernel package, so that USB adapters
  based on this chip work out of the box.
